Answer:

x^2-y^2-2y-1

=x^2-(y^2+2y+1)

=x^2-(y^2+2•y•1+1^2)

=x^2-(y+1)^2

=[x+(y+1)][x-(y+1)]

=[x+y+1][x-y-1].....
