Answer:taking y common

y(12y^2-14y-10)=0

12^2-14y-10=0

12y^2 +6y-20y-10=0

6y(2y+1) -10(2y+1)=0

(6y-10)(2y+1)=0

y=10/6 = 5/3

y=-1/2

Hope it helps

{ {\boxed{\huge {ANSWER}}}}

\Rightarrow12y^3-14y^2- 10y=0

Dividing by y

\Rightarrow12y^{2} -14y^{}-10=0

\Rightarrow12y^{2} -20y+6y -10=0

\Rightarrow4y(3y -5)+2(3y -5)=0

\Rightarrow(3y -5)+(4y +2)=0

So the roots are either \boxed{y=\frac{5}{3}}  OR \boxed{y=\frac{1}{2} }
