Answer :

Now,

21 x² + 5 x - 6

= 21 x² + ( 14 - 9 ) x - 6

= 21 x² + 14 x - 9 x - 6

= 7 x ( 3 x + 2 ) - 3 ( 3 x + 2 )

= ( 3 x + 2 ) ( 7 x - 3 ),
which is the required factorization.

Hello!

=> 21x² + 5x - 6 = 0

= Using quadratic formula

=> D = b² - 4ac

= D = 25 - 4 (21) (-6)

D = 25 + 504

√D = √529

D = 23

=> x = - b + √D / 2a and - b - √D / 2a

= x = -5 + 23 / 21 x 2 and -5 - 23 / 21 x 2

= x = 18 / 42 and -28 / 42

= x = 3 / 7 and -2 / 3

I hope it helped.
