\huge\underline \mathfrak\color{indigo}Solution:

(2x - {3})^{2} = 49 \\ \implies ( {2x})^{2} - 2.2x.3 + {3}^{2} = 49\\ \implies4 {x}^{2} - 12x + 9 = 49 \\ \implies4 {x}^{2} - 12x + 9 - 49 = 0 \\ \implies4 {x}^{2} - 12x - 40 = 0 \\ \implies2 {x}^{2} - 6x - 20 = 0 \\ \implies {x}^{2} - 3x -10 = 0 \\

\implies{x}^{2} - (5-2)x - 10=0 \\

\implies {x}^{2} -5x +2x -10=0\\

\implies x(x -5)+2(x -5)=0\\

\implies (x-5) (x+2)=0

Either,

(x-5)=0

\impliesx=5

Or,

(x+2)=0

\impliesx= - 2

Therefore, the required value of x is 5 , - 2.
