2x^2 + 7x + 3.

= 2x^2 + x + 6x + 3.

( splitting the middle term ).

= x ( 2x + 1 ) + 3 ( 2x + 1 ).

( taking x and 3 common ).

= (2x+1)(x+3).

Answer:

2xsquare + 7x + 3

2xsquare + 6x+ 1x + 3

3x( x+ 3) 1( x + 3)

3x + 1 or x+ 3

3x+ 1 = 0 or x + 3 = 0

3x= -1 or x = -3

x = -1/3 or x = -3
