Given

---2x 3 − x 2 − 13x − 6    = x 2 − x − 6
 2x + 1

----- 2x 3 − x 2 − 13x − 6 = (2x + 1)(x 2 − x − 6)

--------Use formula for factoring quadratic equation: ax2 + bx + c = a(x − x1)(x − x2) Where x1 and x2 are solutions of quadratic equation.In our case we have: x 2 − x − 6 = 1 (x − (−2)) (x − 3) that is

x 2 − x − 6 = (x + 2) (x − 3)
