Here is your answer,
3x^2 - 24x + 36 = 0
3x^2 - 6x - 18x + 36 = 0
3x ( x-2 ) - 18 ( x-2 ) = 0
(X-2) (3x-18) = 0
X-2 = 0
X=2
3x-18 = 0
X = 18/3
= 6
