Step-by-step explanation:

- We can't do the normal way of factorising because it doesn't work.

- We can't do the quadratic formula because we get a negative under the square root along the way of solving it. ( if your number is negative under the square root, it means you have no answer.)

- So the only way left is to do the complete the square method. I don't know how to explain it but its like a try and error sort of way. You have to guess and find the way back to your equation. The first thing you have to do though is break the equation into 3x and x. And then you try guessing the number to get the 9x. Once you have the numbers, expand it. Like (3x+3)(x+2), it expands to 3x^2 +6x+ 3x+ 6. I need the 6 to be 10. So I add the 4 at the end. I hope you got it.
