= 49x² - 4( y + 3x )²

= (7x)² - (2(y + 3x))²

  • Using identity a² - b² = ( a - b )( a + b )

= (7x - (2(y + 3x) (7x + (2(y + 3x)

= (7x - 2y - 6x)(7x + 2y + 6x)

  • Collect like terms

= (x - 2y )(13x + 2y )

Hence, the factors are (x - 2y ) and (13x + 2y )
