−2a+4b−1

⇒8(a−b)

−2(a−2b)−1

⇒ Take a−2b=x

∴8x

−2x−1

⇒8x

−4x+2x−1

⇒4x(2x−1)+1(2x−1)

⇒(4x+1)(2x−1)

∴(4(a−2b)+1)(2(a−2b)−1)

⇒(4a−8b+1)(2a−4b−1).
