a = 4

b = -4p

c = (p² - q²)

x =  \frac{ - b \pm \: \sqrt{ {b }^{2} - 4ac } }{2}

x =  \frac{4p \:  \pm \:  \sqrt{ {16p}^{2} - 4 \times 4 \times ( {p}^{2} -  {q}^{2})   } }{2 \times 4}

 x =  \frac{4p \pm \:  \sqrt{ {16p}^{2} -  {16p}^{2}  } }{8}

 x =  \frac{4p \pm \: 4q}{8}

 \frac{p + q}{2}  \frac{p - q}{2}
