Given Equation,

 \mathsf{5x {}^{2} + 14x - 3 = 0 }

  • Multiplying the constant term with x² coefficient,we get -15

Splitting the middle term with respect to the factors of -15

 \implies \:  \sf{5x {}^{2}  + 15x - x - 3 = 0} \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf{5x(x + 3) - 1(x + 3) = 0} \\  \\  \implies \:    \underline{\boxed{\sf{(5x - 1)(x - 3) = 0}}}

Thus,the factors are (5x - 1) and (x - 3)

For obtaining the roots of the equation,

 \sf{5x - 1 = 0  \: or \: x - 3 = 0} \\  \\   \huge{\sf{x =  \frac{1}{5}  \:  \: or \:  \: 3}}

Hence,the roots of the equation are 1/5 and 3
