8x²-24xy+18y²

= 2 (4x²) 24xy+18y²

= 2 (4x²)+2(-12xy) +18y²

= 2 (4x²) +2(-12xy)+2(9y²)

= 2 (4x²-12xy)+2(9y²)

= 2 (4x²-12xy+9y²)

= 2((2x)²-12xy+9y²)

= 2((2x)²-12xy+ (3y)²)

Factor using the perfect square trinomial rule a²+2ab+² (ab)² where a=2x and b=-3y

2(2x-3y)²
