Multiply 8 and 4
8×4=32
therefore,
8x^4 + 14x^2 - 4
=8x^4 + (16 - 2)x^2 - 4
=8x^4 + 16x^2 - 2x^2 - 4
=8x^2(x^2 + 2) - 2(x^2 + 2)
= ( 8x^2 - 2 ) ( x^2 + 2)
