GIVEN :

Factorise the polynomial 9q^2-25p^2

TO FIND :

The factors of the given polynomial.

SOLUTION :

Given polynomial is 9q^2-25p^2

Now we have to factorise the given polynomial as below :

9q^2-25p^2

=3^2q^2-5^2p^2

=(3q)^2-(5p)^2

By using the power rule of exponent property :

a^mb^m=(ab)^m

=(3q+5p)(3q-5p)

By using the algebraic identity :

a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b)

Here a = 3q and b = 5p

9q^2-25p^2=(3q+5p)(3q-5p)

∴ the given polynomial 9q^2-25p^2 is factorised into (3q+5p)(3q-5p)

9q^2-25p^2=(3q+5p)(3q-5p)
