Answer:

when you add two numbers and raise it to  the power of 2, like (a+b)^2 it will always be:

(a^2)+2ab+(b^2)

in this equation the answer will be:

(a+b)^2 - 5a - 5b + 6

= 2ab + (a x a) + (b x b) - 5a - 5b + 6

= -5a + a + a -5b + b + b + 2ab + 6

in this since the like terms are a and b we will only look at them and not the unlike terms.

= -3a - 3b + 2ab + 6
