 \huge \mathscr \red{answer}

here factorisation is done by mid term splitting

a² + 5a + 4

we have to break 5 into such that on multiplying it becomes 4

and on adding/substracting it becomes 5

so a² + 4a + 1a + 4 [ as we can see 4 x 1 = 4 and 4 + 1 = 5 ]

now a [ a + 4 ] + 1 [ a + 4 ]

there fore [a + 1] [ a + 4 ]

hope it helps you
