Factorise: abx2 +(b2-ac)x-bc = 0

holatingomani: Does this question use quadratic formula?
rashmikumari1904: Yes
holatingomani: Which one are you supposed to find?
rashmikumari1904: Now I got the answer
rashmikumari1904: abx2 + b2x – acx – bc = 0 ⇒ bx (ax + b) – c(ax + b) = 0 ⇒ (ax + b)(bx – c) = 0
holatingomani: Answer did not use quadratic formula
rashmikumari1904: splitting middle term

Consider, abx2 +(b2-ac)x-bc = 0

 ⇒ abx2 + b2x – acx – bc = 0

 ⇒ bx (ax + b) – c(ax + b) = 0

⇒ (ax + b)(bx – c) = 0

The Solution :

 {abx}^{2} + ( {b}^{2} - ac)x - bc = 0 \\ = ab {x}^{2} + {b}^{2} x - acx - bc = 0 \\ = bx(ax + b) - c(ax + b) = 0 \\ = (bx - c)(ax + b) = 0
