( {a + b})^{2}  =  {a }^{2}  + 2ab +  {b }^{2}   \\  {x}^{2}  + 12x  +  36 \\  =  {x}^{2}  + 2(x)(6) +  {6}^{2}  \\  =  {(x + 6)}^{2}
