pq+5q-p-5 = taking ( q ) common from first 2 terms (pq+5q) and (-1) from last terms (-p-5) = q(p+5)-1(p+5) Now take (p+5) common =(p+5)(q-1) These are required factors If we want values then put these factor equals to zero Means p+5= 0, p= -5 and q-1= 0,q= 1
