6 - x - 2x² = 0

=> 2x² + x - 6 = 0

=> 2x² + 4x - 3x - 6 = 0

=> 2x ( x + 2 ) - 3 ( x + 2 ) = 0

=> ( x + 2 ) ( 2x - 3 ) = 0

=> x + 2 = 0 or 2x - 3 = 0

=> x = -2 or x = 3/2 ANS
