x³+x²-4x-4
and
if 2(x-y)²=166 and xy=24, find the value of x²+y²​

x {}^{3}  + x {}^{2}  - 4x - 4 = 0 \\  = ( x =  - 1) \\

2(x {}^{2}  + y {}^{2}  - 2xy) = 166 \\ x {}^{2}  + y {}^{2}  =  \frac{166}{2}  + 48 \\  = 83 + 48 = 131
