= (2y + 6)(y-5)
now taking two common from 2y + 6
= 2 (y+3)(y-5)
2y² - 4y - 30 = 2(y+3)(y-5)
Zeroes of 2y² - 4y - 30
2(y+3)(y-5) = 0
=> y = -3
& y = 5
