Given : 2x4−32

By taking 2 as common

2x4−32=2(x2−16)

We can further write it as

2x4−32=2[(x2)2−42]

Based on equation a2−b2=(a+b)(a−b)

We get,

2x4−32=2[(x2+4)(x2−4)]

So we get,

2x4−32=2[(x2−22)(x2+4)]

By using the formula

2x4−32=2[(x+2)(x−2)(x2+4)]

2x4−32=2(x+2)(x−2)(x2+4)
