factorise: x(12x+7)-10, how do I find that which numbers (7x) will be split in to get 120?. NO SPAM​

this is called the middle term factorisation now as you have asked that how are you supposed to find how will the numbers spilt right so for that you have to divide 120 and then you will get all the factors find two appropriate numbers which when divided give you the middle term as for this sum the first and last term are multiplied that is equals to 12 into 10 which is 120 now you have to find two appropriate factors of 120 which when subtracted gives 7 so 15 and 8 were the two factors

=12x²+15x-8x-10

=3x(4x+5)-2(4x+5)

=(3x-2)(4x+5)
