With imaginary solutions, yes, as then it would be


(x+i)(x-i)=0


Which, with using the foil method, gets you:


x^2+xi-xi-i^2=x^2-i^2


Since i^2 equals -1, you can change the equation to be:


x^2-(-1)=x^2+1


Without imaginary solutions, however, this is unfactorable
