Hey

Here is your answer,

X^2 - 5√2 x - 12 = 0
X^2 + √2x - 6√2x - 12 = 0
X ( x + √2 ) - 6√2 ( x + √2) = 0
( X + √2) ( x - 6√2) = 0
X+√2 = 0
X = -√2
X - 6√2 = 0
X = 6√2

Hope it helps you!

James122: Thanks
James122: can you tell what the SP is of this sum too (SUM = ?, PRODUCT = ?)

Heya !!

X² - 5√2X - 12

X² - 6√2X + √2X - 12

X ( X - 6√2 ) + √2 ( X - 6√2 )

( X - 6√2 ) ( X + √2 ).
