Supposing that I understood your answer correctly
 {x}^{6}  -   ( { \frac{1}{x}) }^{6}  = 0
 {x}^{6}  -  \frac{1}{ {x}^{6} }
By taking LCM

 \frac{ {x}^{12}  - 1}{ {x}^{6} }  = 0
 {x}^{12}  - 1 =  {x}^{6}  \times 0 \\  {x}^{12}  - 1 = 0 \\  {x}^{ 12}  = 1 \\ x =  \sqrt[12]{1}  \\ x = 1
