 {x}^{2} + 5 \sqrt{2}x + 12

 {x}^{2} + (3 \sqrt{2} + 2 \sqrt{2})x + 12

 {x}^{2} + 3 \sqrt{2}x + 2 \sqrt{2}x + 12

x(x + 3 \sqrt{2}) +  2 \sqrt{2}(x + 3 \sqrt{2})

(x + 3 \sqrt{2})(x + 2 \sqrt{2})
