Hi friend,

x²+5x+4 = 0

x²+x+4x+4 = 0

x(x+1)+4(x+1) = 0

(x+1)(x+4) = 0

x+1 = 0 ; x = -1

x+4 = 0 ; x = -4

Therefore, the zeroes of the given polynomial are -1 and -4.

Check:-

→ (-1)²+5(-1)+4

= 1-5+4

= 5-5

= 0

→ (-4)²+5(-4)+4

= 16-20+4

= 20-20

= 0

Hence verified.

Hope it helps
