Hey Readers,
p(x)=x³-6x²+3x+10
p(2)=(2)³-6(2)²+3(2)+10=8-24+6+10=0
One factor is (x-2)
g(x)=(x-2)
[Refer the picture above for division]
Dividing p(x) by g(x) that is (x³-6x²+3x+10)÷(x-2) we get x²-4x-5
Splitting the middle term, we get,
x²-4x-5
x²-5x+1x-5
(x²-5x)(x-5)
x(x-5)+1(x-5)
(x+1)(x-5)
So the factors are:-
(x-2), (x+1), (x-5)
Thanks!!
