In the rainy season, the farmers of Palampur grow crops like bajra and jowar. It is followed by the cutivation of potato from October to December. In the winter season, wheat is grown. Also some part of the lasnd is allotted for the cultivation of sugarcane. Sugarcane in it's raw form ie jaggery is also sold in the market.
