 {x}^{4}  -  {y}^{4}

 =  ({x}^{2})^{2}  - ( {y}^{2} )^{2}

 = ( {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2} )( {x}^{2}  -  {y}^{2} )

 = ( {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2} )(x + y)(x - y)
