36-(x²-8x+16)
=> 36-x²+8x-16
= -x²+8x+20

Now, Discriminant =
D = √(b²-4ac)=√(64+80)=√144=12

=> x = [-(8) ± √D] / 2a
= (-8 ± 12) / -2

∴ x = -2 or x = 10

Answer:

(2+x)(10−x)

steps :Consider the following expression.

36−(x2−8x+16)This can be factorized as follows:

36−(x2−8x+16)=36−(x^2−2(x)(4)+(4)^2)

=36−(x−4)^2        (Since a^2−2ab+b^2=(a−b)^2)

=(6)^2−(x−4)^2        ( Use the formula, a^2−b^2=(a+b)(a−b) to get, )

36−(x^2−8x+16)=(6+(x−4)(6−(x−4)

=(6+x−4)(6−x+4)

=(2+x)(10−x)
