4x(x-3)-8(x-3)
= 4x^2-12x-8x+24
= 4x^2-20x+24
=x^2-5x+6
=x^2-2x-3x+6
=x(x-2)-3(x-2)
=(x-2)(x-3)
x= 2, 3

Apply the distributive property { a(b+c) = ab+ ac }

4xx+ 4x * -3 - 8 (x-3)

Which is nothing but ---

4x2 -12x - 8x+24

= 4x2 - 20x +24

(2x-6) (2x-4)

x = -6/2 == -3

x= -4/2== -2

therefore x = -3 , -2
