Step-by-step explanation:

 \bf \huge \underline \blue{Answer:-}

 \sf \: 1) {2y}^{2}  - 11y + 5 \\

 \sf \:  {2y}^{2}  - 10y - y + 5

 \sf \: 2y(y - 5) - 1(y - 5)

 \sf \: (2y - 1)(y - 5)

therefore,

y = 1/2 and y = 5

 \sf \: 2) {x}^{2}  - 2x - 80

 \sf \:  {x}^{2}  + 8x - 10x - 80

 \sf \: x(x + 8) - 10(x + 8)

 \sf \: (x - 10)(x + 8)

therefore,

x = 10 and x = -8
