Factorize the following
 {5x}^{2}  - 32xy \:  +  {12y}^{2}

ANSWER -

Factorise => means to take out the factors of the given polynomials.

It can be done by middle term split method. In which we split the middle term.

So in the same way we have to Factorise here also.


5 {x}^{2} - 32xy + 12 {y}^{2} \\ \\ 5 {x}^{2} - 30xy - 2xy + 12y {}^{2} \\ \\ 5x(x - 6y) - 2y(x - 6y) \\ \\ (5x - 2y)( x - 6y)
