Sound waves by themselves are too large to influence chemical bonds. But! sound at very high levels (ultrasonic) can indirectly influence reactions through what is known as cavitation. This is when the high energy sound waves form small bubbles in the reaction solution. Its these bubbles that have localized intense regions of pressure, temperature, and, in turn, energy. It's in these regions chemistry can be driven.
