The salinity of oceans depend on factor like rate of evaporation is more then the supply of fresh water, the salinity is higher. Oceans where supply of water exceeds the rate of evaporation, the salinity is low. The uneven distribution temperature in earth and uneven supply of freshwater affects the salinity of water. For instance, Congo and Amazon in the equatorial regions meet the sea. Therefore, the supply of freshwater is abundant, but due to high temperature, the rate of evaporation is more. Therefore, These seas are more saline.
