Explanation:

The climate of any particular place is influenced by a host of interacting factors. These include latitude, elevation, nearby water, ocean currents, topography, vegetation, and prevailing winds.

Factors that effect the climate are -

Distance from the sea (Continentality).

The sea affects the climate of a place. Coastal areas are cooler and wetter than inland areas. Clouds form when warm air from inland areas meets cool air from the sea. The centre of continents are subject to a large range of temperatures.

Ocean currents.

Ocean currents can increase or reduce temperatures.

Direction of prevailing winds

Winds that blow from the sea often bring rain to the coast and dry weather to inland areas.

Altitude

Altitude Places located on high altitude are cooler than places located on the plains, e.g., Shimla is cooler than Ludhiana. This is due to the fact that atmosphere gets heated by terrestrial radiation rather than directly by the sun.

Latitude.

Latitudes are imaginary lines joining points on the Earth's surface that are all of equal distance north or south of the equator.
