Unconditional rains have a huge impact on farmers. Sometimes it's a boon and sometimes a curse.
Indian agriculture is considered as a gamble with monsoon. As a result of global warming and climate change the yearly cycle of monsoons and rains is being disrupted. The result of which may be drought or less rain, or heavy rain and floods.
Rains play a vital role in agriculture. The regions which have no access to irrigation facilities and wholly depend on rain are the worst affected by unconditional rains.
They are a boon to the farmers if they occur during the time gap from germination of the seeds to flowering, as it reduces the need for irrigation and also increases the ground water.
