Our former Prime Minister Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastry had not coined the slogan "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" thoughtlessly. These two groups of people, the Jawans and Kisans are the keys to the survival of the country as a whole.  While Jawans toil for the country's safety, the Kisans work hard to feed the country. They play a key role in the country's economy also. They produce many crops that enable the country to avoid importing them at the expense of foreign currency. They also can produce many things that can be exported, thus enriching the country's foreign exchange coffer. So I strongly support the motion 'the farmers' demands should be fulfilled'.

There is no room for doubt about the importance of the farmers and the need to support and sustain them is crucial. These people have to suffer a lot at every stage of their work. The present erratic climatic conditions affect the farmers the most because from sawing till harvest the climate should be with them. Any unusual changes in the climate will affect the crops.

The conditions being this, it is imperative that their demands like demands for loans at lower interest and demands for fertilizers at a lower cost should be fulfilled. Thus we, the people who are fed by them can take up a few responsibilities to ensure better harvest.

The current policy of the Prime Minister to enable the farmers to insure their farms against any untoward casualties occurring from natural causes is a highly praiseworthy  initiative. There should be more initiatives that will help farmers in their endeavours. In short, it is absolutely necessary to support the farmers.

India is an agricultural country. India lives in villages. The villagers depend on agriculture. They are either farmers or workers on the agricultural fields. Ours industries and urban business also depend on agriculture. Thus, an Indian farmer truly represents India. He can be called the son of the soil.
An Indian farmer is very hard working. He is very busy throughout the year. For him there is no rest. He is engaged in tilling the soil, sowing the seeds, watering the fields, reaping and harvesting the crop and then taking it to the market to sell it. And yet he is very poor.
Moreover his needs are few and simple and yet they are not met, so when their needs are not met, at last they kill themselves rather telling committing suicide
,Poor infrastructure and lack of access to fund for farmers. So what Government can do is they can allocate funds directly to go villagers rather to go corrupt politician hand. The recent globalization has relaxed the import policies of the government which has resulted in liberal import. Though it has reduced prices in the market, it has affected farmers as their products have become unprofitable. They were not given any protection and they had to stop production partly or fully. The government which had to give higher price for importing did not come forward to protect the farmers in reality. The farmers were affected from both sides, from the government side and from the market side. They were no getting remunerative price for their products. No effort was made for price stabilization.
