The single cropping system is helpful only for cropping for single crop species which ultimately results in declining the biodiversity in the plant kingdom.

Explanation:

The mixed cropping is successful. The Three criteria for a combination of crops used in mixed cropping are called polyculture, inter-cropping or co-cultivation. Is the type of agriculture which involves the growing the two or more plant in the same field, resulting in the crop that grows together.

The major advantage of this method is planting more than one crop which allows the crops to grow and also to work together on the same piece of land. The other merits include multiple cropping to improve soil fertility and increase crop yield.
