- He was one of the first people to start thinking of math in terms of proofs (Specifically geometry and geometric proofs)

- He didn't believe anything in geometry - not even that a line was straight, sometimes, without proving it geometrically.

-He discovered the basis for geometry through his proofs, and he also set a precedent for mathematicians of the future: that they don't accept anything without the math showing it for them.
