Father's age = 5x

Son's age = 2x

After 8 years

son's age = 2x + 8

Father's age = 5x + 8 or 2(2x + 8)

5x + 8 = 4x + 16

x = 16 -8 = 8

Father's present age = 5*8 = 40 years

Son's age = 2*8 = 16

Father's age will be when 11/2 times of son's age = 16 * 11/2 = 88years

Years needed = 88 - 40  = 48 years

In 48years father's age will be 11/2 timees than son's age
