if age of children are = x and y
so father age is - 3(x+y)
after 2 year children ages are ,- x+2 , y+2
father age is - 3(x+y)+2.....(i)
according to question
3(x+y)+2 = 2(x+2+y+2)
3x+3y+2 = 2(x+y+4)
3x+3y+2= 2x+2y+8
3x+3y-2x-2y= 8-2
x+y= 6
father age is( according to (i ) = 3(x+y)+2= (3×6)+2 =18+2 =20
so father age is - 3(x+y)
