Amoeba eats tiny plants and animals present in pond water. The body of Amoeba has finger-like projections called pseudopodia which ingests the food. When a food particle comes near Amoeba, the pseudopodia surrounds the food particles and trap the food with a little water forming a food vacuole inside its body. The surrounding cytoplasm secretes digestive enzymes into the food vacuole which acts on the food and thus it gets digested. Please mark me as brainliest

when amoeba senses food in its immediate surroundings , it quickly puts its . on reaching the food particle , it extends two its pseudopodia and surrounds the food particle .the cytoplasm secretes digestive juices into the food vacuole .These act on the food and help in breaking it down into a simple soluble form . the soluble form is absorbed into the cytoplasm , where it is stored or utilized for growth and release energy ...
The undigested food is expelled from the body through the cell membrane . Digestion occurs only inside a food vacuole to prevent the digestive juices mixing with cytoplasm..
