Fermented urine contains Ammonia.

By ammoniacal fermentation of urine we mean change in urine by which its urea change into carbonate of ammonia.

Chemical investigations have been made to find what causes the transformation of urea into carbonate of ammonia since last two centuries but without any concrete result

Fermented Urine:

The urine fermentation process is carried out using the lactic acid bacteria which is most cost beneficial technique to form volatilization and also leads to odour emission.

The storage of urine for some times on fermentation leads to urea formation which is biologically decomposed to ammonia. Due to process called volatilization the most of the ammonia is lost to air (volatile substance usually evaporates in to air) and this leads to drastic unpleasant smell released.
