festival and noise pollution in your locality observation
Answers
Explanation:
Reasons for increased pollution during festivals are –
• Bursting of crackers on the occasion of various festivals like Dussehra and Diwali, increase in usage of fuels as a result of travelling during festivals and high consumption of ‘unclean’ fuels by eatery shops to meet the festive season demands cause the air pollution to increase during festivals.• Immersion of idols and related pooja material in nearby streams, lakes and rivers after Ganesh Chaturthi and Dussehra are the primary reason behind pollution of water bodies across the country.
• Unrestricted use of loudspeakers and burning of high decibel crackers causes the noise levels go up compared to the normal times and cause the noise pollution during festivals. The imported crackers, especially from China are found be to be violating the norms of the land.
Celebrating festivals often gives us immense joy and we enjoy it a lot with our families and loved ones. But there are several issues taking place during these festivals that increase noise pollution in our locality.
Given below is the observation of Festival and Noise Pollution in my locality:
- Noise pollution is the type of pollution caused by sound waves and extensive sound vibrations.
- In my locality, at every festival, loud music gets played on the streets on huge speakers.
- These create noise in the form of music and thus cause noise pollution.
- In festivals like Diwali, firecrackers with high decibels contribute to noise pollution as well other than causing air pollution.
Hence, the observation has been stated.
