Translatory motion- The motion in which all the particles of a body move through the same distance at the same time is called translatory motion. There are two types of translatory motions: rectilinear motion; curvilinear motion.

Rotatory motion- Rotatory motion, also referred to as rotational motion or circular motion, is a physical motion that happens when an object rotates or spins on an axis.

Oscillatory motion- Oscillatory motion is defined as the to and fro motion of an object from its mean position. The ideal condition is that the object can be in oscillatory motion forever in the absence of friction but in the real world, this is not possible and the object has to settle into equilibrium.
